Figure Study Sculpture

So I made two sculptures but I could not find one - case of the missing clay bust. Anyway, here is the one I was having fun with on the third day. I kind of just went crazy with it because I was having some trouble getting into a realistic piece. Comments? Ideas? Colors? Textures? Development?

And by the way, it originated from a foot if you couldn't tell . . .

  1. veryyy interesting. i think its cool how you started out as a foot but then it evolved into this. It'll be interesting to see the finished piece.

  3. A dali-esque piece. Continue the abstract form, think of dreams and psychoanalysis?

  4. interesting how the idea came about. kinda looks like a fox to me in that third photo. smooth sides will give it a finished look in the end

  5. SO awesome. I love the variation of shapes and forms with the spikes and the curves and long thin parts and the heavy center foot part. So abstract and really cool. I think a dark color would work well if you want to glaze it but I have no idea what you're going for and whatever you're doing is working so keep doing it!

  7. This looks really cool Alex! First of all I really like the lighting in the picture; it looks awesome! I also feel like the shape has a really nice flow and connectedness to it. It looks really nice! Good Job!
